SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. -- A week after earning 2011 AVCA All-West Region honors, Cal Poly junior Jennifer Keddy was named 2011 AVCA All-America Honorable Mention, as announced by the American Volleyball Coaches Association today.
Last season Keddy earned third team honors.
The middle hitter was named the 2011 Big West Conference Women's Volleyball Player of the Year after pacing the conference with a 4.06 kill average, Keddy ranked in the league's Top 10 in three categories.
The 6-4 middle blocker had a hitting percentage of .339 and her 4.85 points per set ranked first in the Big West and 22nd in the nation.
Her all-around skills include 1.22 blocks and 1.76 digs per set with her career-high 19 coming against UC Irvine.
Joining Keddy as AVCA honorable mention from the Big West Conference is outside hitter Caitlin Ledoux (Long Beach State), libero Chelsey Lowe and right side hitter Stacey Schmidt from UC Santa Barbara.
