SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – Junior Jennifer Keddy led the Cal Poly Mustangs in kills in both of their matches last week, guiding them to a 1-1 week and earning Big West Women's Volleyball Player of the Week accolades. This is her third honor of the 2011 season and fourth of her career.
In Cal Poly's 3-1 victory over UC Riverside, the Missoula, Mont., native recorded 18 kills and seven digs, while picking up four block assists. She also hit .302 for the night.
The following evening in a 3-0 loss to Cal State Northridge, Keddy notched her eighth double-double of the season, slamming 16 kills, while committing just one error on 31 swings, and tallying 11 digs. She notched an explosive .484 hitting percentage.
For the week, she averaged 4.86 kills, 2.57 digs and 1.29 blocks per set while hitting .378.
The Mustangs concluded the season with a 12-17 overall record and a 7-9 record in Big West matches.
