Cal Poly to Host UCSB for Final Home Games of 2012 Baseball Season
Cal Poly (30-20, 10-8 Big West), which has won at least 30 games eight times in the last 13 seasons and has clinched its 10th winning season since 2000, plays its final home games of the 2012 campaign this weekend, hosting UC Santa Barbara (24-24, 10-11 Big West) for a three-game Big West Conference series inside Baggett Stadium. First pitches are set for 6 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.

Five high school players have signed national letters of intent to continue their baseball careers at Cal Poly. The announcement was made Tuesday by Mustang baseball coach Larry Lee and director of athletics Don Oberhelman. The early signing period opened Nov. 9 and ends Wednesday. The late signing period for baseball opens April 11 and ends August 1.
