2011: Started 40 games at shortstop, missing second half of March due to illness and second half of April due to injury … second on the team with .306 average, collecting nine doubles and one triple (Loyola Marymount) en route to All-Big West honorable mention accolades … doubled twice against Missouri, knocking in three runs … four-hit games back-to-back against Oklahoma State and Fresno State … three-hit games against Cal State Northridge and UC Irvine … drove in 23 RBI and stole seven bases ... just four errors in 150 chances at shortstop ... 13 multiple-hit games and six multiple-RBI contests ... struck out just 15 times in 178 plate appearances … earned 2011 Big West Academic All-Conference honors … .397 hitter in day games and .211 at night ... hit .342 on the road and .237 in home games ... 10 RBI in 12 opportunities with runner on third and less than two outs ... played summer ball for Peninsula Oilers in Alaska Baseball League, which advanced to NBC Baseball World Series in Wichita, Kansas, and finished second to Santa Barbara Foresters … went 8-for-28 in seven games at Wichita, including two doubles, a three-run home run and 12 RBI … hit .359 in regular season for ABL champion Oilers with nine doubles, three triples and a home run with 21 RBI, striking out just seven times in 181 plate appearances … named ABL player of the year … named No. 10 Major League prospect out of ABL by Baseball America and named to Perfect Game USA's Summer Collegiate All-American First Team.
2010: Handled 34 chances at shortstop without an error, but struggled at the plate with a .160 average and surrendered every day duties to J.J. Thompson in first season at Cal Poly ... no extra-base hits ... drove in a run against Utah Valley ... stole a base against UC Santa Barbara ... hit .308 in day games but was 0-for-12 at night ... played summer ball for Kenai Peninsula Oilers in Alaskan Baseball League ... hit .250 with two doubles, seven RBI and three stolen bases ... was lone Mustang to play in NBC Semi-Pro World Series at Wichita, Kansas, and went 5-for-14 with the Oilers with one double and three RBI in five games.
Community College: Played one year at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo as a shortstop and led Cougars to 29-14 record, 19-6 for first place in the Western State Conference's North Division and a berth in the state regionals ... hit .392 with 67 hits, including 12 doubles and three triples ... 34 RBI and struck out just nine times in 195 plate appearances ... stole 14 of 18 bases ... earned first-team All-WSC North Division honors.
