Former University of Arizona diving standout Isabel (Izzy) Diamond was hired as Cal Poly's diving coach during the summer of 2015.

A team captain in her senior season (2014-15), Diamond earned personal-best marks of 252.55 off the 1-meter board, 270.60 for 3-meter and 190.90 in platform while diving for the Wildcats' top-10 nationally ranked program. She qualified for the NCAA's Zone E meet as both a junior and senior.

As a senior, Diamond was named to the Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention Team. At the NCAA Zone E meet, she finished 19th in the 3-meter prelims (278.10) and 23rd in the platform (198.45).

Diamond also earned honorable mention Pac-12 All-Academic honors as a junior and second-team Pac-12 All-Academic honors as a sophomore.

At Catalina Foothills High School, Diamond lettered four years in diving and cross country, and three years in track & field. She was team captain of the diving team as a senior, was named Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year as a senior and placed third in the state championships as a junior.

Diamond, who has two sisters, is a May 2015 graduate of Arizona with a degree in nutrition. She minored in biochemistry.
