Cal Poly Athletics hosts giveaways and promotions for Mustang fans for nearly every sport. Below is a list of upcoming promotions for the 2011-12 year, listed by sport. Mustang Marketing Crew
You've no doubt seen them at a Cal Poly football, soccer,
volleyball wrestling, basketball, baseball, softball game, throwing
t-shirts to Mustangs fans or handing and tossing out freebies as
you enter the venue. The crew consists of Cal Poly students
who intern for the Cal Poly Department of Athletics and
specifically the Athletic Marketing Office.
The Mustang Marketing Crew is responsible for assisting the
Athletics Department in marketing and game operations at Cal Poly
ticketed sporting events. As interns, they gain valuable
experience marketing Cal Poly Athletics and all that goes in to
promoting the game day experience. The Mustang Marketing Crew
gains first-hand knowledge of marketing in a collegiate athletics
environment while accumulating real-world experience that will
benefit them in their pursuit of a career in almost any
field.
The Mustang Marketing Crew is involved in game day preparation
and promotion of Cal Poly sports including football, baseball,
basketball, soccer, softball, wrestling and volleyball. They also
work developing marketing plans and designing new and entertaining
in-game promotions as well as creating slogans and marketing themes
to promote Mustang Athletics.
